The Role
As Team Leader, you'll work alongside the Registered Manager to provide outstanding care and leadership within a specialist EBD children's home.
You'll lead by example, supporting and developing the staff team while ensuring the children receive the highest standard of care in a safe, nurturing and structured environment.
You’ll be passionate about helping young people achieve positive outcomes and confident in supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead shifts and provide day-to-day guidance and support to the staff team.
- Create a safe, stable and nurturing home environment.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
- Support children to achieve positive outcomes in education, independence and emotional wellbeing.
- Ensure care plans and risk assessments are implemented effectively.
- Complete and oversee high-quality records and reports.
- Work in partnership with families and external professionals.
- Promote safeguarding and ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
- Act as a positive role model, maintaining high standards of care and professionalism.
About You
- Experience working within a children's residential EBD setting.
- Previous experience as a Senior Residential Support Worker or Team Leader.
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or be willing to work towards it.
- A good understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Resilience, empathy and a genuine passion for improving the lives of young people.
- A full UK driving licence (desirable).
