The Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment for children who have experienced significant trauma and adversity. No two days are the same. You'll be supporting young people to develop life skills, build confidence, regulate emotions and experience the stability they deserve.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building positive, trusting relationships with young people.
  • Supporting children with their emotional, behavioural and social development.
  • Promoting education, independence and positive outcomes.
  • Planning and taking part in activities within the home and community.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Working closely with families and professionals to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Creating a safe, structured and nurturing home environment.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for people with empathy, patience and resilience above all else. Ideally you'll have:

  • Experience working with children or young people
  • A caring, positive and child-centred approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A full UK driving licence (desirable).
