The Role As Team Leader, you'll work alongside the Registered Manager to provide outstanding care and leadership within a specialist EBD children's home.
You'll lead by example, supporting and developing the staff team while ensuring the children receive the highest standard of care in a safe, nurturing and structured environment.
You'll be passionate about helping young people achieve positive outcomes and confident in supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead shifts and provide day-to-day guidance and support to the staff team.
- Create a safe, stable and nurturing home environment.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
- Support children to achieve positive outcomes in education, independence and emotional wellbeing.
- Ensure care plans and risk assessments are implemented effectively.
- Complete and oversee high-quality records and reports.
- Work in partnership with families and external professionals.
- Promote safeguarding and ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
- Act as a positive role model, maintaining high standards of care and professionalism.
About You We're looking for someone who is passionate about children's residential care and enjoys developing others while leading from the front.
You'll ideally have
- Experience working within a children's residential EBD setting.
- Previous experience as a Senior Residential Support Worker or Team Leader.
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or be willing to work towards it.
- A good understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Resilience, empathy and a genuine passion for improving the lives of young people
- A drivers license and vehicle is highly desirable Salary & Benefits
