Are you an experienced Legal Secretary seeking a new permanent job? We are a friendly, progressive multi‑award‑winning law firm offering fantastic working hours and hybrid working. Convenient locations include Huddersfield, Leeds, Pontefract or Barnsley.
Responsibilities
- Typing for all fee earners in a busy, fast‑paced environment
- Dealing with mediation enquiries and opening files
- Setting up new appointments
- Answering calls, liaising with clients and solicitors
- Assisting with new precedents
- Liaising with other members of the administration team
- Participating in team meetings and making suggestions for more efficient administration
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with a Family Law department
- A pleasant and professional telephone manner
- Good typing skills with use of digital dictation
- Excellent organisational skills
- Willingness to take on new tasks
- Highly motivated, proactive and able to work well as part of a team; initiative and ability to prioritise workloads of different fee earners
Benefits
Our client offers a great team‑working environment and a very generous benefits package. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00 with 1 hour lunch and hybrid working flexibility. This role could be based in Huddersfield, Leeds, Pontefract or Barnsley.
