We’re currently looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a busy engineering/manufacturing business on a day shift. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who likes being out on the shop floor, keeping standards high, and getting involved in how things are done — not just paperwork.

Shift: Day shift – 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday

What you’ll be doing:

  • Carrying out quality checks throughout the production process, particularly around painting and finishing.
  • Completing visual inspections and checks at different stages, right through to final sign-off.
  • Making sure prep work, paint processes, and conditions are right to maintain quality.
  • Checking and recording inspection equipment and making sure everything is in calibration.
  • Inspecting incoming materials before they go into production.
  • Keeping quality paperwork and records up to date and accurate.
  • Working closely with production and engineering teams to resolve issues quickly.
  • Looking for ways to improve processes and overall quality.

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • A good understanding of quality systems and standards (ISO experience is important).
  • BGAS / NACE qualification, or solid time-served experience in a similar role.
  • A good eye for detail and a practical, common-sense approach.
  • Comfortable speaking to people on the shop floor and working as part of a team.
