Hybrid - offices in Bromsgrove

The sales & marketing team are the revenue-generators and sustainers of the business. They are the face of the company and represent our values and our culture to our clients and potential clients.

The main objectives of the sales & marketing team are:

  • Promote brand familiarity and interest through social media and other digital marketing avenues
  • Generate new leads through telephone and/or face-to-face conversations with potential clients
  • Building relationships, producing high quality pitches for clients and ultimately securing won contracts
  • Ensuring client loyalty through excellent service and ongoing account management

The Business Development Manager will be responsible specifically for generating new enquiries, developing them into confirmed contracts and ongoing account management. The BDM will retain permanent ownership and accountability for the relationship with the client.

The role includes the following responsibilities:

  • Generating own enquiries and following up leads from our telemarketing team.
  • Bringing existing contacts to the business and set up meetings with these.
  • Meeting new/existing customers to fully understand their needs and brand.
  • Briefing and liaising with the creative team.
  • Working with our operations team to agree costs.
  • Presenting proposals to clients and ultimately winning the contract!
  • Working with operations for ongoing project management.
  • Taking responsibility for their own professional development that will help with knowledge, skills and behaviours to succeed in the role.

The successful candidate will be a strong and confident communicator and must be prepared to approach and/or talk to people they have not met before to engage them in discussion. The candidate will engage with difficult people from time to time so must be able to handle this accordingly.

  • Initiative is essential to this role. Although we have documented processes and guidelines within which the team operate, we expect individuals to continually look for alternative avenues for generating new business and bring their ideas to the table.
  • A team attitude is a key attribute.
