The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with the Board, you will lead the finance function while playing a central role in the strategic direction of the organisation.
Beyond ensuring robust financial governance, you will provide commercial insight, influence investment decisions and help deliver long-term financial resilience during an exciting period of growth and transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the organisation's financial strategy, supporting the long-term business plan.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and weekly cashflow management.
- Work with external accountants to prepare statutory accounts and manage a first-time external audit process.
- Ensure strong financial governance, controls, compliance and risk management.
- Provide insightful Board and Executive reporting, turning financial data into commercial decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, reporting and processes.
- Partner with operational leaders to improve commercial performance and value for money.
- Lead, mentor and develop existing finance team.
- Manage the revenue generation process with relation to creating and evidencing rent cards which determine HB paid by local authorities
- Act as a trusted adviser to the MD, CEO, Board and senior stakeholders.
About You
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Significant senior finance leadership experience.
- Track record of strategic financial planning, audit, governance and business partnering.
- Confident presenting to Boards and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Commercially minded with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- An engaging and collaborative leader who develops high-performing teams.
