We are looking for an energetic, motivated and target driven individual to join their Finance team as an Assistant Accountant. You will be responsible for preparing the monthly payroll, managing HR records, managing the sales ledger and assisting with production of monthly and annual accounts. This is the opportunity to gain a wide range of experience and further your career in Finance, working within a friendly team. Hours of work are 08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:30 - 16:00 Friday (With 30 minutes for lunch).
- To process the monthly payroll to a strict deadline ensuring accuracy.
- Dealing with starters and leavers, liaising with HMRC and all issues within the payroll function.
- Maintaining HR files including holiday and absence records.
- Maintaining and updating Customer records.
- Collecting monies from customers, dealing with queries and sending statements on a regular basis.
- To work as part of the Finance Team to provide support, when and where required, across all areas.
The Requirements:
- Experience of Sage Payroll is a necessity.
- The successful applicant will need to be flexible, have good communication skills and a high standard of financial literacy.
- The ability to work as a team member is essential.
- Computer literacy with Microsoft packages is necessary. Use will also be made of the company’s integrated CRM, Microsoft Dynamics. Training will be given as required.
