An exciting opportunity for a PA to join an expanding Lawfirm in Southampton. To communicate professionally and effectively with clients, Court, Barristers, agents & third parties, and other staff particularly on the telephone.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Dealing with confidential and sensitive information with the utmost respect and integrity as well as ensuring security.
- Must have experience with Audio typing.
- Making up files and drafting client care letters and terms of business, ensuring compliance with SRA codes as well as CQS.
- Completing legal administrative tasks with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with conveyancing terminology, Land Registry Portal, SDLT online, search providers and mapping, indemnity insurance providers, etc.
- Familiarity with Litigation would be preferred.
- Closing and archiving files.
- Assisting with photocopying, filing, shredding, archiving and other administrative tasks requested.
The Candidate
- Experienced with Audio typing.
- Some experience working in a law firm or a legal background is preferred.
- Someone who is willing to learn on the job and advance their skill set.
- Good computer skills and excellent attention to detail are required.
- Good manner with clients, particularly on the telephone.
- Presents themselves in a professional manner and looks appropriately attired at all times.
