The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne are recruiting for a dedicated Linen Porter/Floor Assistant - Fixed term from June - September/October to join their busy Housekeeping team.

When you join us:

  • You will be working within the Housekeeping team, clearing the corridors and linen storage rooms of dirty linen and rubbish throughout the day.
  • You will be responsible for making sure the required linen stock levels within the linen storage rooms.
  • You will be assisting the Room Assistants and Assistant Housekeepers in their task of cleaning, room preparation, cleaning terraces, balconies, setting up extra beds and furniture, removing and fitting curtains and cleaning ceiling lights.
  • You will also be cleaning public areas including hoovering, dusting and deep cleaning.
  • You will be working daytime shifts, 35 hours per week, over five days, which will include weekends.

  • A good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • To be physically fit as a lot of manual handling is involved.
