Assist the Executive Head Housekeeper in ensuring that all laundry items are cleaned, processed, and presented to a high standard while maintaining excellent hygiene and safety practices.
Responsibilities include:
- Sort laundry into sheets, towels, table linen, etc.
- Ensure there are enough chemicals to feed the machines.
- Load machines to capacity with sheets, towels, or table linen.
- Set the programme into the machine for the appropriate wash.
- Maintain ironer with sheets and table linen, and fold after ironing.
- Unload and fold towels when dry.
- Remove table linen to Linen Stores.
- Arrange for guest laundry and dry-cleaning, as well as staff laundry and dry-cleaning, either internally or by external agency.
- Attend to any special requests by guests.
