Our Chef’s work together to ensure our guests receive the exceptional menus they have come to expect from the Oak Room fine dining restaurant. The kitchen team also work to events, room service and afternoon teas, so you will experience the full range of service and receive excellent development and advice from our experienced senior team.

Commis Chef Key Attributes:

  • To be familiar with all menu items relevant to your section and prepare/present dishes for service to the highest standards.
  • To ensure the correct preparation, cooking and presentation of food to the highest standards in conjunction with section head.
  • To ensure that efficient and smooth service is always maintained through forward planning.
  • To ensure good working relationships with colleagues and other departments.
  • To complete any reasonable task as requested by management.
  • To keep waste to an absolute minimum.
  • Personal appearance and hygiene should comply with hotel policy; uniforms must be treated with the utmost care.
