Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club are searching for a dynamic Assistant Manager (with Duty Manager Responsibility) who is passionate about delivering distinctly memorable experiences to our guests. Reporting to the Deputy General Manager, you will be instrumental in enhancing the guest experience at all levels at one of Elite Hotel’s four red star hotels whilst also assisting in sales and profitability in all areas of the business. The working day will also encompass being Duty Manager where you will be required to ensure all departments are running correctly and in line with staffing budgets, as well as assisting with service at peak times of the day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strive to consistently deliver exceptional guest service and exceed client expectations.
- Represent the hotel and Elite group with utmost professionalism.
- Carry out Duty Management shifts.
- Assist the DGM with the hotel’s Health, Fire & Food Safety.
Key Attributes:
- Proven experience of supervising a successful team in a similar customer facing environment.
- ‘Can do’ attitude and be prepared to step in to help in any situation where it is required.
- Sales oriented with a proven track record, preferably within a similar environment.
- Enthusiastic and positive, helping to engage the team by reinforcing the goals of the hotel and Elite group.
- Ideally you will have worked in an environment that operates within clear frameworks/Standard Operating Procedures, and/or a set of brand standards.
- Organised and effective at prioritising and multi-tasking.
- Quick thinking, with the ability to problem solve and take action to resolve problems.
- Confident at building effective relationships with employees at all levels.
- Able to deliver both positive and constructive feedback to members of the team.
- A knowledge of Hotel Health, Fire and Food Safety will be advantageous.
