The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne are recruiting for an enthusiastic and people focused Senior Receptionist to join our busy Front of House team, starting in June.
When you join us:
- You will be providing all our guests with a warm welcome and looking after them in a friendly, professional manner on our Reception desk.
- You will check guests in and out and be responsible for taking payments and handling money.
- You will be covering reservations and sales department enquiries out of office hours.
- You will ensure that all guest comments, complaints and compliments are dealt with efficiently.
- You will be supporting the Reception Manager in the training of the team and also deputise for her in her absence.
- You will be working full time, five days over seven which will include evenings and weekends. Please note the Reception team also cover holidays for night reception so some flexibility is required.
What we need from you:
- Previous hotel experience essential.
- Previous receptionist experience preferred.
- Possess a ‘can do’ attitude, attention to detail and be able to use your own initiative.
- Possess a good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- A good telephone manner.
- Ability to work under pressure, dealing with lots of information at once, and always with a smile on your face.
