Front Office Manager

We are seeking an outstanding Front Office Manager to lead our Reception, Concierge and Night teams at The Grand Hotel, delivering seamless five-star service while driving operational excellence and revenue performance.
About the Role
As a key member of the hotel's management team, you will oversee all Front Office operations, ensuring guests receive a warm, professional and memorable experience from arrival through to departure. You will provide inspiring leadership to your teams, champion service standards, and work collaboratively with departments across the hotel to maximise guest satisfaction and commercial performance.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious hospitality leader to make a significant impact within one of the UK's most prestigious luxury hotels. Hours are 40 per week, working five days out of seven. This will include some weekends, bank holidays and shift patterns. The role requires to conduct Duty Management shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop the Reception, Concierge and Night teams.
- Ensure the highest standards of guest service are consistently delivered.
- Manage Front Office operations to deliver a seamless guest journey.
- Drive room revenue performance through effective room inventory management and upselling initiatives.
- Monitor departmental costs and maintain strong financial controls.
- Oversee guest billing, cashiering controls and night audit processes.
- Support yield management and business planning activities.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety and fire safety requirements.
- Foster a culture of training, development and career progression within the department.
- Collaborate closely with Housekeeping, Reservations, Sales and other operational departments
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Front Office Manager or Senior Front Office Leader in a quality hotel environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Commercial awareness and experience managing departmental budgets and revenues.
- Experience using Opera PMS or similar hotel management systems.
- A proactive, hands‑on management style with excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of hospitality health and safety requirements and employment best practices.
