The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.
We are looking to recruit a skilled Maintenance Assistant to carry out a wide range of general maintenance, decorating, carpentry, service and repair work across all areas of the Hotel. The role is varied and due to the size and nature of the hotel will require someone with a good level of physical fitness. A good all‑rounder with knowledge of plumbing and basic electrics would be required.
Usual working hours fall within Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm (which includes provision for a 1/2 hour unpaid break) – 16 hours per week, we can be flexible on how many days this is worked across. There will be a requirement to work on a Saturday on a rotational basis (roughly every 4/5 weeks). When this occurs another day during the week will be taken off.
Key Responsibilities- To ably assist and support the Head of Maintenance/Deputy Head of Maintenance in order to keep up with the maintenance schedule and all other tasks required of the department.
- To have a hands-on approach to all maintenance duties and requests in the Hotel and wider estate.
- To operate within Health & Safety guidelines at all times.
- Experienced in a range of trade skills and general maintenance, such as painting, decorating, including knowledge of plumbing and basic electrics.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Have a logical approach to tasks and take pride in workmanship.
- Able to multitask and work to agreed timescales with the flexibility to accept occasional changes in priorities.
- Personable and able to work as part of a small dedicated team.
- Naturally customer focused – working with both internal and external customers.
