An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Conference & Banqueting Manager at the four red star Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club in the heart of Sussex. This role will lead a dedicated professional team at this award-winning hotel and be part of the senior leadership team. Training is second to none, with Investor in People accreditation and a training and personal development department to support you and the team.
The role of Conference and Banqueting Manager is a key senior management role within the hotel with the primary objective to ensure the smooth running of events through good planning and time management. The hotel has a range of 16 meetings and events rooms to cater for events from one to 300.
The Conference & Banqueting Manager will manage the operation of Events, Conferences & Banqueting to ensure the smooth and efficient running of meetings and events including weddings, private dinners, seminars and parties. Looking after the team is a high priority, so preparing staff rosters and facilitating staff training to ensure the team deliver the highest standards of service and customer care.
You will be an excellent communicator and organiser, with a smart appearance and a good command of English, both spoken and written. You will have the ability to understand the needs of the hotel as a whole and be able to prioritise and problem solve. You will remain calm under pressure and have a proactive approach. Experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel is desirable.
