An established and reputable M&E contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Small Works & Maintenance Manager to lead and grow a dedicated division delivering planned and reactive maintenance, as well as small works projects. This is a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to develop an existing client base while driving operational performance, service quality, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all small works and maintenance operations
- Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance across multiple client sites
- Conduct site surveys, prepare quotations, and manage tender submissions
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard
- Maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients
- Oversee financial performance, ensuring profitability and cost control
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of engineers and support staff
- Ensure all works comply with current regulations, standards, and client requirements
- Work closely with Health & Safety and Quality teams to ensure compliance
- Manage certification and ensure all electrical works meet required standards
- Coordinate out-of-hours call-outs and emergency responses
- Support project teams with defect resolution and securing maintenance opportunities
Requirements
- Relevant electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3, AM2, 18th Edition, 2391 Inspection & Testing)
- Experience in a similar role within electrical small works and maintenance
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and profitability
- Proven ability to manage teams, projects, and client relationships
- Good knowledge of current electrical regulations and industry standards
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- IT literate (MS Office essential)
- Full UK driving licence
