We are currently recruiting for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join a growing HVAC business. This is a hands-on position that combines service, maintenance and fault-finding duties with responsibility for supporting and coordinating a team of engineers. The role would suit a strong Air Conditioning Engineer looking to step into a leadership role while remaining technically involved.
The Role
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a range of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on split systems, VRV/VRF systems, heat pumps and chillers.
- Attending reactive breakdowns and providing technical support.
- Assisting with commissioning and handover of new installations.
- Producing service reports and recommendations.
- Conducting site surveys and equipment condition assessments.
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers and apprentices.
- Assisting with scheduling and coordination of engineering activities.
- Liaising with clients and ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience within the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration industry.
- NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2/3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
- F-Gas Category 1 Certification.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic experience.
- Experience working on split systems, VRV/VRF systems, chillers and heat pumps.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
Desirable
- Previous experience leading or supervising engineers.
- IPAF, PASMA and CSCS.
- SSSTS or SMSTS.
- Manufacturer training from Daikin, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, Fujitsu, LG or Panasonic.

- £35,000 - £45,000 for competent engineers looking to progress.
