We are looking for a multi-skilled Maintenance Mechanical Engineer to carry out reactive and planned maintenance across a variety of commercial and domestic sites, including offices, health centres, hotels, schools, care homes, and student accommodation. You will diagnose and resolve issues with plumbing, heating, and ventilation systems, report on material requirements, and maintain high standards of workmanship. The role also involves supporting planned maintenance contracts and post-project defect periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out reactive maintenance: fault find and repair boilers, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and water systems.
- Conduct planned maintenance checks and services on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Support post-project defect resolution and customer care visits.
- Communicate effectively with clients while on site, maintaining professionalism and respect.
- Record work and report material needs for follow-up actions.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical or M&E maintenance or installation.
- NVQ in Plumbing and Heating/Ventilation.
- Gas Safe Qualified (domestic minimum).
- Relevant trade CSCS card.
- Full UK Driving License.
- Excellent customer service, independent, proactive, and practical approach.
Package:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (1-hour lunch)
- 25 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays
