EliteHire Solutions are looking for an experienced HVAC Mechanical Estimator with some design exposure to join a growing Midlands based M&E design and build contractor delivering commercial and industrial projects. Perfect for someone who understands both the numbers and the nuts and bolts of HVAC systems and enjoys turning drawings into accurate, competitive bids.

The Role

  • You'll take ownership of the estimating process across HVAC and mechanical projects, including:
    • Reviewing drawings, specs and tender documents
    • Performing take-offs for materials, labour and plant
    • Preparing accurate cost estimates and bid packages
    • Analysing supplier and subcontractor quotes
    • Supporting design optimisation and value engineering
    • Working closely with PMs, engineers and clients
    • Attending pre-bid meetings and site visits

What We're Looking For

  • HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical or Building Services (preferred)
  • 7 years HVAC / Mechanical estimating experience
  • Strong knowledge of D&B projects and HVAC systems
  • Confident with estimating software and spreadsheets
  • Able to read technical drawings and specs
  • Strong commercial mindset and communication skills
