Mechanical Project Engineer in Halesowen

Mechanical Projects Engineer Salary: £55,000 + Package Location: Halesowen Job Type: Permanent We are looking for an experienced Projects Engineer to join a busy mechanical contractor working on projects across the UK, including schools, hospitals and residential projects. This is a varied role involving both project/site management and hands-on mechanical work. The Role * Assist with managing projects from start to finish. * Work closely with the Contracts Manager and site teams. * Coordinate subcontractors and monitor progress. * Manage workmanship, quality and site activities. * Liaise with clients and contractors. * Carry out site visits and surveys. * Assist with project planning and programmes. * Support commissioning and handover. * Manage snagging and defects through to completion. * Ensure RAMS, health & safety and CDM requirements are followed. * Identify and report variations and additional works. * Carry out hands-on mechanical installation, repairs and alterations when required. * Use hand and power tools as part of the role. * Attend sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays and night work when required. About You * Experienced in mechanical installation and/or project engineering. * Strong practical mechanical knowledge. * Comfortable working on site and managing subcontractors. * Good communication and organisational skills. * Able to work independently and as part of a team. * Relevant mechanical qualifications and site tickets are advantageous. * CSCS, IPAF, PASMA and other relevant tickets would be beneficial. * Willing to travel and stay away when required.
