We are proud to be working in partnership with a highly respected M&E contractor based in the East Midlands, known for delivering high-quality design and build solutions across commercial, industrial, healthcare, and education sectors.
Due to continued growth and a healthy order book, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Design Estimator to play a pivotal role in their pre-construction and design team.
The Role
As the Electrical Design Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for electrical packages on a variety of building services projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with both electrical design knowledge and strong commercial awareness, who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical systems
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and client requirements
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and design teams
- Value engineer and propose cost-effective alternatives
- Manage tender documentation, RFQs, and client queries
- Work closely with project managers and directors during tender stages
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator, ideally within an M&E contracting environment
- Strong technical background in electrical building services design
- Familiarity with estimation software and Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines
