We are working with an established and highly successful M&E contractor who are looking to strengthen their estimating team with an experienced Electrical Estimator. THE ROLE
As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing competitive and accurate tenders across a range of commercial M&E projects. You will work closely with the commercial, estimating and project teams to ensure tenders are delivered accurately, competitively and within agreed deadlines.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing detailed electrical tenders and estimates
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Producing accurate material and labour costs
- Obtaining and assessing supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
- Supporting the wider estimating and pre-construction team
- Working on multi-million-pound commercial projects
- Ensuring tenders are completed accurately and within deadlines
- Contributing ideas and experience to help develop the estimating function
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator with a strong background within commercial electrical contracting.
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience working as an Electrical Estimator
- Strong knowledge of commercial electrical installations
- Experience pricing and tendering projects
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Good understanding of labour, material and subcontractor costs
- Strong commercial awareness
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines
- A proactive approach and willingness to contribute to the growth of the department
