Elite Audit & Finance Recruitment are exclusively representing a fast-growing Accountancy firm in the UK with new offices based in Glasgow. The new role will help head up the office in Glasgow and act as the Senior Accountant/ Client Accountant. There are four direct reports to manage and mentor (Accounts Assistants/bookkeepers) as well as oversee the Scottish client base. If you are an experienced and qualified accountant who loves turning numbers into insights and building lasting client relationships, this is your chance to join a fast-paced exciting Accountancy practice.
Responsibilities:
- Leading meetings, answering queries and translating complex figures into clear business advice.
- Overseeing and reviewing accounts, VAT returns and Corporation tax returns.
- Managing your team’s workload to accommodate deadlines and KPI targets.
- Responsible for spreadsheet work and system work on Xero.
- Managing four Accounts staff.
- Crafting tailored commentary that helps clients boost performance and profitability, adding real value.
The hours are flexible and will offer hybrid work ideally 2-3 days in the office. The hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm (flexible working available with core hours from 10 am to 4 pm).
Your Experience:
- ACA, CA, ACCA qualified, minimum 5 years.
- Experience of working in a previous practice environment is essential (in Scotland ideally).
- Xero and Sage systems accounting experience.
- Process driven mindset.
- Clear written & verbal communication.
