We are working with a small family run construction led business based in Essex in hiring a new Bookkeeper for the firm. This role will be office based and can be either full time or part time dependent on the work load of accounting and administration duties and candidate requirements. If you are an experienced Accounting technician / bookkeeper then this could be a great role to join this friendly business.
The responsibilities of the successful candidate will be to work with the accounts team to ensure the on-time delivery of HMRC and Internal Company reporting and compliance deadlines.
Duties:
- Preparation of Monthly accounts
- Preparation and filing of VAT, PAYE and CIS returns
- Preparation of Bank Reconciliations, Supplier and Debtor Reconciliations
- Dealing with ad-hoc Customer Queries
Skills and Qualifications required:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Similar Office environment is essential
- Accounting Technician qualified but not essential
- Be proficient with Microsoft Excel and the use of accounts office software
- Fluent English with excellent communication skills
