We’re recruiting for an established and growing e Commerce business looking for a hands-on e Commerce Lead to take ownership of its digital customer experience, design and content.

This is a broad, commercially focused role covering UX, UI, content, email and digital creative.

The website and brand are already in a strong position, but there’s plenty of scope to improve, introduce new ideas and shape how the digital function develops.

You’ll report to the Head of Ecommerce, work closely with Ecommerce, Product and Commercial teams, and mentor a Design & Content Apprentice.

The role

  • Improving website UX, design and conversion across key customer journeys.
  • Creating digital designs and prototypes using Figma.
  • Using GA4, Clarity and testing tools to understand customer behaviour and improve performance.
  • Creating website content, commercial copy and longer-form content.
  • Designing email campaigns and reusable templates.
  • Producing creative for social, paid media and wider digital channels.
  • Developing a consistent design system across Figma and Canva.
  • Keeping creative and content commercially focused and on brand.
  • Mentoring and supporting a junior team member.

You’ll ideally have

  • Strong e Commerce and digital design experience.
  • UX/UI experience with a portfolio demonstrating commercial results.
  • Figma experience and ideally exposure to Magento 2 or another enterprise e Commerce platform.
  • Strong copywriting and content experience.
  • Email marketing/design experience.
  • An understanding of analytics, CRO and customer behaviour.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
  • Experience mentoring or developing junior colleagues.

Experience with Canva, HTML/CSS, SEO, A/B testing, video or photography would be a bonus.

You don't need to tick every box. We’re looking for someone commercial, creative, curious and hands-on who wants genuine ownership rather than simply executing briefs.

What’s on offer?

  • Hybrid working — 3 days office / 2 days home
  • Modern equipment and free parking
  • Genuine autonomy and opportunity to shape the role
  • Career progression as the business grows across the UK and Europe

If you’re looking for a role combining e Commerce, design, content and customer experience, with the freedom to make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you

How to prepare for a job interview at Elite Executive Recruitment

✨Show Off Your Customer Service Skills

Retail is all about providing an exceptional customer experience, so be ready to discuss your past customer service stories. We should have examples on hand of how we've handled difficult situations or gone above and beyond to meet a customer's needs. These anecdotes will bring your application to life!

✨Familiarity with Point of Sale Systems

Many retail roles require us to work with Point of Sale (POS) systems, so it's a good idea to brush up on any relevant software you’ve used before. Many retail interviews include role-playing scenarios where we might have to deal with a difficult customer or upsell a product. Practising these scenarios with a friend or family member can help us feel more comfortable. The key here is to showcase our problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure!
