HGV Class 1 Drivers – Wigan | Ongoing Temporary or Permanent Roles
Are you looking for ongoing consistent HGV Class 1 work?
We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading logistics company in Wigan, offering guaranteed shifts, competitive pay, and both ongoing temporary & permanent roles.
Shift Patterns & Hours
- 6-week fixed rota (includes 3 weekends in and 3 weekends off)
- Start times: Between 07:00 – 12:00
- Paid breaks & Weekly Pay: PAYE (inc. Holiday Pay)
- Monday–Friday: £20.73 per hour
- Saturday: £22.08 per hour
- Sunday: £23.37 per hour
- Overtime (after 45 hrs): £26.13 per hour
- Umbrella: Monday–Friday: £23.50 per hour
- Saturday: £24.50 per hour
- Sunday: £25.80 per hour
- Overtime (after 45 hrs): £29.00 per hour
Your Role
- Driving a HGV Class 1 vehicle with Box or Double Deck trailers
- Complete store deliveries across the Northwest
- 1–3 deliveries per shift which will include unloading at the store
- Carry out daily vehicle checks & ensure compliance with driving hours
What You’ll Need
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 3 months HGV Class 1 experience ( Newly Qualified Drivers will be considered with previous HGV Class 2 experience)
- Maximum 6 penalty points (minor only)
- Experience with double deck trailers beneficial but not essential
