We are looking for a reliable Driver / Furniture Assembler to join our team. The role involves delivering furniture to customers and safely assembling and installing items at their premises.
Key Responsibilities Drive vehicles safely and responsibly.
Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
Deliver furniture and other goods to customers' homes and commercial premises.
Load and unload furniture safely, working as part of a team where required.
Assemble a range of furniture including beds, wardrobes, tables, sofas and other household items.
Install and position furniture according to customer requirements.
Ensure furniture is handled carefully to prevent damage during transportation and installation.
Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times.
Complete delivery paperwork and obtain customer signatures where required.
Maintain a clean and tidy vehicle and work area.
Follow all relevant health and safety, manual handling and company procedures.
Requirements Valid driving licence.
Experience assembling or installing furniture is desirable.
Good knowledge of safe manual handling practices.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Reliable, punctual and professional approach.
Physically fit, as the role involves lifting and moving furniture.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Own Tools Desirable
Working Conditions The role involves regular driving, loading and unloading, lifting furniture and assembling items at customer locations. Some flexibility may be required depending on delivery schedules.
