Temp To Perm Opportunity

Job Purpose: As a warehouse operative at Worldwide Logistics Group UK, your primary purpose is to support in the day-to-day operation of the warehouse. A warehouse operative will assist with anything from inventory management, order production, goods in and out and collaborate with other departments within the organisation.

General and Task Management:

  • Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
  • Ensure that all goods that are loaded or unloaded match the relevant paperwork and systems.
  • Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of goods meets customers' timescales/requirements and SLA.
  • Picking orders using a hand-held scanner from the storage space and bringing them for packing, or to the loading bay for transportation.
  • Packing orders to the customer specification within SLA.
  • Ensuring any orders that have been picked or packed and labelled correctly and are loaded with the correct courier.
  • Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring the physical stock is in line with the warehouse management system and ensure all stock movements are recorded to ensure accuracy.
  • Assisting with warehouse inventory controls, which typically involves using a hand-held scanner.
  • Always treating stock with care and concern.
  • Reporting any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Managers or Supervisors.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse will also be part of the daily routine.
  • Following workplace health and safety rules will be essential.
  • Completing any tasks set by the warehouse supervisor and/or manager within the time frames set.
