We are currently seeking a Machine Preparation Centre Engineer to join the team in Immingham. This is a hands-on role focused on preparing, inspecting, and ensuring machinery is ready for delivery to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and machine preparation.
- Fit attachments and extras including: Buckets, Guards, Couplers, Radios, Cameras.
- Ensure all checks are completed in line with inspection and extras documentation.
- Identify and report any additional work required.
- Install software updates where applicable.
- Accurately complete job records and input data in real time.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional working environment.
- Care for tools and equipment, reporting any defects.
- Work in line with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
- Support team members and assist with training where required.
- Attend training courses to maintain and develop technical skills.
- Work overtime when necessary to meet business needs.
About You:
- Qualified in: Plant Maintenance, Agricultural Engineering, HGV Mechanics (NVQ Level 2 / City & Guilds).
- Experience working with heavy plant machinery, including hydraulics and electrical systems.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organised, reliable, and detail-focused.
- Confident handling and operating heavy machinery.
- Basic IT skills including systems, email, and technical documentation.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
- Welding experience would be advantageous.
