We are currently recruiting on behalf of a global market-leading auction company that specialises in unreserved auctions of agricultural machinery, construction equipment, and industrial plant equipment.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious agricultural sales professional who already has strong industry connections and wants to build a highly lucrative long-term career. The earning potential is exceptional, with experienced Territory Managers regularly achieving £100,000 - £150,000+ OTE within a few years.
The primary focus of the role is to secure agricultural and heavy equipment consignments ahead of scheduled auctions. You will be responsible for developing and growing your territory through proactive business development, relationship management, and industry networking. This is a field-based sales role suited to someone who enjoys autonomy, thrives on building relationships, and has a genuine passion for machinery and equipment. While you will manage the South West territory, you will also have the freedom to consign equipment into auctions across the company’s global network, significantly increasing your earning potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Securing agricultural and heavy equipment consignments for upcoming auctions
- Developing new business opportunities across the South West region
- Building long-term relationships with farmers, contractors, dealers, and machinery owners
- Growing and maximising an established industry network
- Attending auctions, customer visits, and industry events
- Monitoring market trends and identifying opportunities within the sector
- Working towards sales and consignment targets in a highly rewarding commission structure
The Ideal Candidate:
- A proven track record within agricultural, plant, machinery, or heavy equipment sales
- Minimum 3 to 4 years’ experience within the agricultural sector
- Strong existing industry contacts and relationships across the region
- Excellent negotiation and business development skills
- A self-motivated and entrepreneurial approach
- A genuine interest and understanding of machinery and equipment
- The confidence to work independently in a field-based role
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
- A full UK driving licence
- Knowledge of auctions and equipment valuations would be highly advantageous
