The Opportunity
- We're looking for an organised, customer-focused
- Service Controller to join our busy and successful service team in
West Bromwich .
You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our Field Service Engineers are deployed efficiently, customers receive an outstanding service, and jobs are completed safely, on time and to the highest standard.
Working closely with the
Depot Manager, Sales Team and Parts Department , you'll be at the heart of the operation keeping everything running smoothly from the moment a customer books a service through to invoicing and completion.

What You'll Be Doing
- Coordinate the day-to-day workload of a team of Field Service Engineers.
- Schedule engineer visits based on priority, location and availability.
- Act as the main point of contact for customers throughout the service process.
- Ensure engineers have the information and parts required to complete jobs efficiently.
- Manage service jobs from booking through to completion and invoicing.
- Review engineer job reports to ensure work is accurately recorded and fully justified.
- Liaise with customers regarding repairs, updates and any additional work required.
- Work closely with the Parts Department to ensure parts are ordered and available when needed.
- Monitor work in progress to minimise outstanding jobs and maximise engineer productivity.
- Support the Depot Manager and deputise when required.
- Process invoices, manage customer queries and maintain accurate service records.
- Work alongside the Warranty team to ensure claims and documentation are completed correctly.
- Promote safe working practices and ensure company procedures are followed at all times.
What We're Looking For
You'll be someone who enjoys working in a busy service environment and takes pride in delivering an excellent customer experience.
Ideally, you'll have
- Previous experience as a
Service Supervisor, Service Controller or Service Coordinator .
- Experience within an aftersales, service or engineering environment.
- A good mechanical or technical understanding of construction, industrial, plant or similar equipment (highly desirable).
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving ability.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and service management systems.
- The right to work in the UK.
