An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Water Hygiene / Legionella Compliance professional to join a growing specialist compliance business in a senior technical role. This position will suit candidates with strong knowledge of ACoP L8, HSG274, TMV servicing, water hygiene compliance, and Legionella Risk Assessment support who are looking to progress into a more technical and leadership-focused position.

The successful candidate will play a key role in technical water hygiene service delivery, engineer mentoring, supplementary treatment systems, compliance support, and complex problem-solving across a varied portfolio of commercial and public sector sites.

The Role

You will act as a senior technical point of support across water hygiene service delivery, compliance, risk assessment support, remedial works, supplementary treatment systems, and engineer mentoring. Duties will include:

  • TMV servicing, inspection, and testing
  • Water hygiene monitoring and system inspections
  • Legionella compliance support in line with ACoP L8 & HSG274
  • Supporting and reviewing Legionella Risk Assessments
  • Technical support on complex systems and compliance issues
  • Water sampling and residual testing
  • Supporting supplementary control systems including:
    • Chlorine Dioxide (ClO2)
    • Hydrogen Peroxide systems
    • Copper Silver Ionisation
  • Training and mentoring Water Hygiene Engineers
  • Technical auditing and site inspections
  • Client support and technical reporting
  • Minor remedial plumbing and rectification works

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of ACoP L8 & HSG274
  • Previous experience within Water Hygiene / Legionella Compliance
  • TMV servicing and testing experience
  • Experience supporting or carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments
  • Good technical reporting and communication skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

  • City & Guilds Legionella Risk Assessment
  • NVQ Level 2/3 Plumbing or Mechanical Services
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • Experience with supplementary treatment systems
  • Healthcare / HTM 04-01 experience
