12 month FTC - Production Assistant
Role Overview
The Production Assistant supports the Product Development team across multiple product categories, assisting in the development process from initial concept through to production. The role works closely with Design, Buying, Technical, and global supplier partners, gaining hands-on exposure to the full product lifecycle. This position is ideal for someone looking to build a career in product development within a fast-paced, design-led environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Materials & Fabrics
- Gather fabric and yarn information from suppliers, including composition, cost, and origin
- Upload and maintain material data accurately within PLM systems
- Support lab-dip requests, approvals, and tracking to ensure colour and quality standards are met
- Maintain fabric and yarn libraries to support development, production, and handover processes
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm final material specifications and updates
- Record and maintain trim and component details within PLM and BOM systems
- Support trim sourcing and supplier research, including lead times and minimum order quantities
- Assist with managing physical trim stock and distributing trims for sample development
- Receive, check, and log incoming samples within PLM
- Maintain sample and swatch libraries, ensuring organisation and accessibility
- Prepare garments, rails, and boards for fittings, reviews, and sign-off meetings
- Support fittings and product review sessions with the wider development team
- Maintain accurate product data, development documents, and design decks
- Support invoice tracking and general product development administration
- Support Product Developers during supplier and factory meetings, tracking actions and follow-ups
- Gain exposure to the development calendar and critical path management
- Participate in fittings and review sessions to understand the full product lifecycle
- Assist with sample shipments, courier coordination, labelling, and presentation
- Support the team in maintaining an organised and efficient workspace
