Elite have partnered with a leading contemporary brand,seeking an experienced Senior Merchandiser to oversee product assortment, inventory, and sales performance.
Role Overview:
The Senior Merchandiser will manage the merchandise strategy, sales forecasting, inventory flow, and product assortment to drive performance and align with customer demand and brand positioning.
Key Responsibilities:
Assortment & Strategy: Develop and execute the seasonal merchandise strategy, ensuring the right mix of products based on customer demand, market trends, and financial targets. Collaborate with design to ensure the assortment aligns with brand vision.
Sales & Forecasting: Create accurate sales forecasts and financial plans, using data and insights to predict demand, optimize sales, and manage margin expectations. Regularly review performance and adjust plans to achieve targets.
Inventory Management: Manage stock levels across multiple channels, ensuring the timely availability of products while minimizing overstock and stockouts. Work with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure smooth stock replenishment.
Collaboration: Partner closely with buying, design, and supply chain teams to align on product selection, sales strategies, and trend forecasting. Provide feedback on product performance to inform future buying and design decisions.
Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze sales trends, stock turnover, and KPI performance. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize product assortment, reduce markdowns, and improve profitability.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of junior merchandisers, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture. Provide training and guidance to support their growth within the company.
Key Requirements:
5-7 years in merchandising, preferably with a fashion brand.
Proficient in Excel, data analysis, and merchandising software.
