Role Summary: This role is responsible for leading the wholesale and retail strategy and operations across the UK and Ireland for a Luxury European Jewelry brand. The successful candidate will focus on business development, partner management, sales performance, and brand presence, ensuring a seamless alignment with global objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Strategy & Business Development: Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for the UK and Ireland across wholesale and retail channels. Identify growth opportunities through new partnerships, store openings, and untapped markets. Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform business decisions.
- Wholesale Channel Management: Build and manage a network of wholesale clients, including independent boutiques, department stores, and high-end retailers. Negotiate commercial terms, order volumes, and in-store positioning. Provide partners with training, marketing support, and after-sales service.
- Retail Operations: Oversee the launch and performance of any directly operated stores, pop-ups, or concessions. Drive in-store sales, implement visual merchandising strategies, and ensure brand consistency. Recruit, train, and supervise in-store staff if applicable.
- Sales & Financial Performance: Achieve revenue, margin, and growth targets across all channels. Regularly report on performance metrics, sales forecasts, and customer insights. Monitor and manage stock levels, pricing strategy, and order flow.
- Brand Development & Marketing: Represent the brand locally and foster brand awareness in the UK and Ireland. Collaborate with PR agencies, media, and event partners to build market visibility. Ensure alignment with global branding, product, and marketing guidelines.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a small team or manage local agents/distributors. Foster a results-driven and collaborative team environment. Provide coaching, training, and performance management.
Experience: 5β7 years in a senior commercial role within the jewelry, luxury, or accessories sectors. Proven experience managing both wholesale and retail operations. Strong network within the UK/Ireland retail and luxury sectors is highly advantageous.
Skills & Attributes: Strategic thinker with strong execution skills. Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities. Entrepreneurial, proactive, and highly self-motivated. Fluent in English; knowledge of another European language is a plus.
