A leading footwear and accessories brand is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager for its high-profile Central London boutique. This is a key role supporting the Store Manager in driving commercial performance while delivering a truly elevated, luxury-level service experience.
As Assistant Manager, you will be a hands-on leader on the shopfloor, ensuring every client receives warm, personalised service and expert styling advice. You will help manage and develop a team of 11, driving KPIs, overseeing day-to-day operations and maintaining a high standard of visual merchandising and stock care.
Key responsibilities:- Lead by example on the shopfloor, delivering luxury-level service and personalised styling for every client.
- Support the Store Manager with daily operations, including rotas, opening/closing, cash handling and reporting.
- Coach, motivate and develop a team of 11 to achieve sales, conversion, ATV and UPT targets.
- Drive clienteling and CRM practices, encouraging the team to build and maintain a loyal client base.
- Ensure visual merchandising and store presentation are always in line with brand guidelines.
- Monitor stock levels, support deliveries and replenishment, and help minimise stock loss.
- Handle escalated customer issues with discretion and a solutions-focused approach.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members.
- Experience as an Assistant Manager / Supervisor in premium or luxury retail, ideally footwear, fashion or accessories.
- A proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and building repeat clients.
- Strong people leadership skills: coaching, feedback and leading by example.
- Confident working to KPIs and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for styling, product and brand.
