About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and confident Store Manager to lead one of our retail stores.
As the driving force behind the store’s success, you’ll be responsible for overall performance, team culture, and day-to-day operations while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
A natural leader, you’ll lead by example on the shop floor, inspiring your team to provide outstanding service and create a welcoming, engaging shopping environment.
You’ll take full ownership of store performance, ensuring sales targets, operational standards, and customer satisfaction are consistently achieved.
Thriving in a fast-paced retail environment, you’ll combine strong commercial awareness with a hands-on leadership approach.
You’ll motivate and develop your team, drive business performance, and ensure every customer leaves with a memorable shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop the store team, including Supervisors, Keyholders and Sales Associates, to deliver exceptional customer experiences and strong commercial results.
- Partner closely with senior retail leadership to support store strategy, operational excellence and long-term business performance.
- Own key people processes, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling and performance management, working collaboratively with HR and support teams.
- Manage staffing levels and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely approval.
- Monitor trading performance by analysing sales, KPIs and operational results, taking proactive action to maximise opportunities and improve performance.
- Manage stock levels and product performance with a commercial mindset, identifying risks and opportunities and communicating key insights to relevant stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with Visual Merchandising and wider business teams to ensure merchandising standards and commercial presentation are consistently delivered.
- Support marketing initiatives, in-store events and local community activities that drive customer engagement and footfall.
- Ensure all Health & Safety, compliance and operational standards are maintained to create a safe, efficient and legally compliant store environment.
- Champion the organisation's commitment to environmental and social responsibility by embedding sustainable practices into day-to-day operations, reducing waste, supporting responsible sourcing initiatives and encouraging customers and colleagues to make informed, conscious choices.
About You
- A genuine passion for retail and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Proven experience leading and inspiring teams to achieve outstanding service standards within a busy retail environment.
- Around three years' experience in a Store Manager or senior retail leadership position, with a strong track record of driving sales, improving performance and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong commercial awareness, with confidence analysing sales performance, KPIs and stock to inform business decisions.
- Excellent leadership, coaching and people management skills, with experience working alongside HR to support employee development and performance.
- A proactive, organised and hands-on approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
