Commercial Manager - Manufacturing Industry

We’re recruiting a Commercial Manager to lead a sales team and drive profitable growth for a business in the manufacturing industry.
This is a hands-on leadership role, combining sales strategy and account development with coaching, performance management and commercial decision-making.
The role
- Develop and deliver a sales strategy that supports sustainable growth and annual gross profit targets.
- Lead, coach and motivate the sales team, setting clear expectations and helping individuals reach their potential.
- Grow key customer accounts and identify new business opportunities.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and ensure customer calls and visits are focused and effective.
- Use sales reports and market insight to identify trends, address challenges and act on opportunities.
- Manage stock and purchasing activity in line with customer demand and commercial objectives.
- Negotiate customer and supplier terms while managing payment and credit risks.
- Promote a strong focus on customer service, continuous improvement and accountability.
About you
You’ll be an experienced sales leader with a track record of growing sales and developing effective teams. You’ll bring strong commercial awareness, confidence using performance data and the ability to build lasting customer relationships.
Experience in manufacturing or industrial distribution would be an advantage.
