A growing international manufacturing business is looking to appoint an Export Controller to take ownership of its export and international shipping activities.

This is an opportunity to join an established organisation undergoing significant growth, where you will play a key role in ensuring compliant, efficient and commercially effective export operations.

The Role

  • The Export Controller will manage export documentation, customs requirements and international shipments.
  • Coordinate activities with freight forwarders, couriers and carriers.
  • Handle Letters of Credit and associated export administration.
  • Oversee customs reporting and wider export compliance activities, including duty requirements.
  • Analyse existing processes, identify improvements and implement practical solutions.
  • Produce export-related reporting and maintain accurate operational records.
  • The Export Controller should
  • Have previous experience within an Export Coordinator, Export Manager, Export Team Leader, Export Compliance, Shipping Coordinator / Shipping Manager or International Logistics role.
  • Possess strong knowledge of export documentation, customs procedures and international shipping.
  • Have experience working within a manufacturing, engineering, or heavy industrial environment.
  • Be confident dealing with freight forwarders, couriers and overseas customers.
  • Have experience managing or compiling export documentation such as Letters of Credit.
  • Be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
