Location & Position
Newton Abbot — Full‑time, Permanent
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Production team to achieve site business objectives.
- Assist the Production Manager in day‑to‑day operations, fostering a safe and productive environment.
- Drive continuous improvement and LEAN methodologies while championing safety and compliance.
- Analyse and drive performance across Quantity, Advance‑Delay, Productivity and Quality, reporting key KPIs such as productivity, utilities consumption and OTIF.
- Lead staff development: recruitment, induction, performance reviews using SMART objectives.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
- IOSH certificate or equivalent safety qualification.
- Experience working within a highly focused Production environment.
- Practical knowledge of LEAN Six Sigma methodologies and basic PC literacy.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships and manage performance, absence and grievances.
- Highly customer‑focused, flexible and able to deliver quality results under pressure.
