Overview

As a Maintenance Engineer at Elis, you will keep site operations moving by performing planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on machinery and infrastructure. You will diagnose faults, implement repairs, and partner with Production to boost reliability and reduce downtime. The role sits within a supportive, international engineering team focused on safe, efficient operations and continuous improvement. You’ll contribute to equipment upgrades and site projects, shaping a reliable and resilient operation.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance to maximise reliability and minimise downtime across site machinery and infrastructure
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, identify root causes and implement safe repairs
  • Maintain assets and site infrastructure to high standards for efficient operation
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency and overall site performance
  • Build strong relationships with Production and other site teams, communicating effectively on issues
  • Ensure activities comply with Health & Safety requirements and relevant standards
  • Complete inspections, PPM records and engineering documentation using the CMMS system
  • Contribute to equipment upgrades, remedial works and wider engineering projects

Key requirements

  • Around 3 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, production or process-driven environments
  • Multi-skilled with practical mechanical and electrical capabilities
  • Experience with electrical circuits, pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Logical fault-finding and ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics
  • Proactive, self-motivated and able to make decisions in operational settings
  • Safety-first mindset and understanding of safe engineering practices
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
