We are looking for a driven and experienced Operations Manager to lead our Leicester Healthcare site. This people‑focused role with a continuous improvement mindset will make a real impact in a highly regulated and fast‑moving environment. The role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering a collaborative “One Team” culture across the department.
Responsibilities
- Lead and implement the Elis Production Essentials across the site.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Organise and adapt plant management structure based on capacity and budget forecasts.
- Drive continuous improvement and lead change initiatives.
- Forecast volumes and resource needs, managing budgets and resolving variances.
- Deputise for the General Manager when required.
- Develop strategic operational plans and capital requests.
- Lead and develop teams, managing performance, absence, grievances, and training.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to resolve issues and promote teamwork.
- Monitor and report performance, recommending improvements.
- Support environmental impact reduction initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in production, supply chain or service management, ideally in a regulated or process‑driven industry.
- Strong people leadership skills – able to motivate, coach and inspire high‑performing teams.
- Commercial and financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting and resource planning.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and strong analytical skills.
- Proactive, customer‑focused approach with excellent communication skills.
- Desirable: experience with Lean / Six Sigma methodologies and NEBOSH certificate.
