We're looking for an experienced Production Leader to join our Kendal site, leading our afternoon shift operation and driving performance across our production teams.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 2:30pm – 11:00pm
The Role
Working closely with the Operations Manager and wider site leadership team, you'll be responsible for maximising production performance, developing your team, embedding a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring excellent service delivery for our customers.
You'll play a critical role in maintaining quality standards, achieving operational KPIs and ensuring the site operates safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily production operations within the hospitality processing centre.
- Ensure customer deliveries are achieved on time and to the highest quality standards.
- Drive operational performance against key business metrics, including quality, productivity and service levels.
- Manage, coach and develop production teams to achieve business objectives.
- Foster a positive culture of engagement, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Monitor staffing levels and resources to meet changing customer demands.
- Work collaboratively with account managers and internal stakeholders to maintain exceptional service delivery.
- Identify and implement process improvements using Lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Maintain compliance with Health & Safety requirements and company standards.
- Support operational planning during seasonal peaks and changing business demands.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in an operational or production management role.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
- Experience working to KPIs and performance targets.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience managing performance, attendance and operational standards.
- Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
- Experience within manufacturing, textiles, logistics, laundry, hospitality or similar operational environments.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement principles.
- IOSH qualification or equivalent Health & Safety knowledge.
- Degree-level education or equivalent operational experience.
