Key Responsibilities
- Customer & Relationship Management
- Analyse existing contracts and identify development opportunities.
- Define customer‑specific objectives, KPIs and performance measures.
- Lead negotiations on contract extensions, optimisation, expansions, and pricing adjustments.
- Build strong relationships with key decision‑makers and stakeholders.
- Business Retention
- Implement a structured planned calling system.
- Analyse lost business and complaints to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead renewal activity and proactively manage client risk to prevent re‑tender situations.
- Oversee tender processes for your customer portfolio.
- Commercial Development
- Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the business and improve profitability.
- Develop strategic account plans for key customers and prospects.
- Lead high‑value accounts and manage specialist client projects.
- Coaching & Leadership
- Support General Managers in leading CRM teams to achieve growth targets.
- Coach and develop CRMs, ensuring they have clear personal development plans.
- Provide analytical support and recommendations to Contract Managers to drive improved performance and compliance.
- Business Performance
- Take overall responsibility for portfolio revenue, customer satisfaction and profitability.
- Achieve and exceed growth KPIs through collaboration with GMs, CRMs and Operational teams.
Essential Requirements
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to influence at all levels and build effective working relationships.
- Commercially minded with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Demonstrable track record in sales, key account management or customer service in healthcare or a service industry.
- Experience managing multiple large accounts, alongside new business development.
- Coaching leadership style with ability to motivate teams.
- IT literate (Microsoft Office; knowledge of SOL/AX desirable).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture.
Desirable Requirements
- Knowledge of decision‑making processes within hospitals.
- Educated to degree level or NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent experience).
