The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Production Manager to lead our site operations in Cookstown. This role is responsible for overseeing a team, ensuring strong performance across all production activities while fostering a positive, high-performing culture. You will play a key role in delivering operational excellence, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring a high standard of service delivery to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Production Team to achieve all operational KPIs
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and HR policies and procedures
- Monitor production performance, resolving issues in a timely manner
- Plan and organise workflow to meet customer and dispatch requirements
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels in line with operational demand
- Drive continuous improvement projects across production operations
- Complete daily and weekly reporting (shift reports, utilities, tracking tools)
- Communicate machine and operational issues to the maintenance team
- Monitor employee performance, providing coaching and feedback
- Manage payroll processes accurately and efficiently
- Promote a productive, engaged, and motivated team environment
- Ensure all staff are trained to required company standards
- Support succession planning and employee development initiatives
- Collaborate with Customer Service, Distribution, HR, and Maintenance teams
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and audit readiness
- Support site-wide Health & Safety initiatives and compliance
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar leadership role
- Strong understanding of operational efficiency and production processes
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to drive performance and meet business deadlines
- Experience in continuous improvement and project management
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
