As an Installer you will report to the Installation Supervisor, Coordinator and the Head of Department. Your duties will primarily comprise of working within a small team to undertake the installation of equipment on-sites located throughout the UK and Europe, ensuring that all install activities are executed to meet the project requirements in a safe and cost-effective manner. This will require working away from home for short periods of time. Installation operatives will be expected to carry out any other tasks as directed by the Department Manager or OMT member in conjunction with the day-to-day running of the business.

What you'll be doing:

  • Ensure all Health and Safety protocols are followed onsite.
  • Completion of site inductions on every working site.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings regarding safe use of equipment onsite.
  • Install, test and inspect equipment onsite.
  • Keep working area in a neat and tidy fashion.
  • Clear and accurate completion of all company documentation (time sheets etc.).
  • To be the face of the company in front of our customers out on-site, always representing the company’s name and culture in a positive manner.

Who we are looking for:

There is no formal qualification required to carry out this role, although you MUST hold a valid CSCS Card or affiliated card to access all UK working sites. On the job training will be provided and where applicable a personal development plan will be detailed and reviewed periodically.

Other desirable qualification/knowledge criteria:

  • Confined Space.
  • CPCS slinger/signaler.
  • PASMA.
  • IPAF.
  • First Aid at Work.
  • An industry applicable ONC, C&G or NVQ.
  • Basic Electrical knowledge.
  • Knowledge of the utilities/water industry.
