$5,000 Sign-On Bonus!

Eliot is seeking a dedicated Respite LPN/RN to join our team. Eliot’s Respite program is a short term restorative service that assists adults with mental illness in obtaining and maintaining community living. As a Respite LPN, you will be responsible for providing oversight, guidance and assistance to clients in understanding their medical conditions; as well as performing direct medical care that is needed. Our ideal candidate will have the skills to establish supportive relationships, excellent communication, crisis management and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide education and consultation to clients and staff on medical health, medications, and general medical topics
  • Deliver one-on-one training tailored to specific individual needs
  • Develop and lead groups and trainings for clients and staff on general health and wellness topics, including nutrition, exercise, and smoking cessation
  • Assist clients in accessing community resources that support their health and wellness goals
  • Meet with clients and staff to discuss medical diagnoses, causes, symptoms, complications, and available treatment options
  • Perform direct medical care for a Person as appropriate and ordered by physician which may include monitoring of vitals, wound care, etc.
  • Review medical documentation for each assigned client and provide consultation and coordination of care as needed
  • Coordinate overall medical care for clients and ensure necessary follow-up is completed
  • Provide health and wellness interventions focused on education and skill-building
  • Support the team and clients by introducing tools for ongoing symptom assessment, evaluating treatment effectiveness, and identifying appropriate responses or next steps

Qualifications:

  • License LPN/RN
  • Experience working with adults with severe mental illness
  • Valid Massachusetts drivers license

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm

Annual Salary: $60,000 - $72,560 USD
