Eliot is seeking an Overnight Awake Counselor to join our Developmental Disabilities (DD) residential program serving adults with intellectual disabilities. Our residential programs offer a person-centered continuum of services that provides innovative and high-quality programming to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The program offers support and opportunities for individuals to enrich their lives, develop social and daily living skills, and build social and community connections. This position requires the candidate to be awake, alert, and available to individuals throughout the course of the night providing assistance and support as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support residents providing assistance and intervention as needed
- Assist individuals with morning routines to include meal preparation, hygiene and other related tasks
- Administer medication in accordance with associated regulations
- Perform housekeeping and personal care tasks as needed
- Provide support and training to promote personal growth and accomplishment (may include social, behavioral, and personal care)
- Report significant health, safety, and behavioral concerns
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license
Schedule: Thursday-Saturday, 11pm-9am
Hourly Rate: $19.50-$19.50 USD
